During a special meeting of the board of directors of Christ the Saviour Brotherhood (CSB) the membership of Paisius DeLucia was revoked. According to the summary report of the April 16, 2015 teleconference, this action was effective immediately and was taken for “conduct unbecoming a member.” A copy of the minutes of the special meeting was attached to an email sent to all CSB members on April 22.

According to the email, Metropolitan Joseph Bosakov of the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the USA, Canada and Australia (BOD) has ordered all the CSB clergy who serve in his diocese to resign from membership and from any offices they hold by May 15, 2015. Members were given the option of asking for a transfer to another canonical jurisdiction if they wished to remain with CSB. The email from CSB went on to say that everyone affected has or will be resigning.

The email and the minutes together provide additional information about CSB membership, including jurisdictional affiliations.

DeLucia was the long-time headmaster of Saint Innocent’s Academy in Kodiak, Alaska, and a priest in the BOD. However, in the face of at least 18 allegations of physical, verbal and spiritual abuse at the school the BOD defrocked DeLucia on March 21, 2015.

The fate of the academy and the current whereabouts of DeLucia are unknown.
