American Orthodox Church

The American Orthodox Church, also called the North America Orthodox Church, is an independent Orthodox jurisdiction, not affiliated with SCOBA.

For many years the group was based in Deming, New Mexico. However, in 2009 the church relocated to Caldwell, Idaho.

Pokrov.org was told in April of 2016, that the American Orthodox Church was now headquartered in Wapato, Washington.

The group is led by Metropolitan Archbishop Joseph Thaddeus, known legally as Alan S. Stanford, who has been convicted twice for child sex crimes.
