The Greek Orthodox Youth Center – Olympic Village was a summer camp endorsed by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA), Metropolis of Atlanta. The camp was owned by the Olympic Village Foundation.
One of Olympic Village’s founders was Fr. John M. Liadis. Fr. John was also the director of the camp for about 10 years.
In July, 1989, Fr. John was arrested for molesting a fifteen year old girl who was a volunteer at the camp. The priest was convicted of the charge later that year. Fr. John had been released from his duties at the camp following the girl’s complaint, but prior to his arrest.
It appears that Olympic Village is no longer used as a youth camp by the GOA.
