St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Oak Lawn, Illinois, is a parish of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Metropolis of Chicago.
In 2008, Fr. John Artemas had a parishioner, Emmanuel Papadopoulos, arrested for trespassing at the church. Artemas banned Papadopoulos from the church when Papadopoulos continued to question certain financial irregularities of Artemas’ predecessor, Archimandrite Timothy Bakakos. Papadopoulos was convicted of trespassing.
