The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) is support group for abuse victims. Although the founder of SNAP, Barbara Blaine, was abused by a Roman Catholic priest, the group provides help for anyone was abused, whether the abuse occurred in their faith community or elsewhere.
In 2008 Blaine invited the principals of Pokrov.org to a meeting in Chicago, along with people from other faith communities who were working in the area of clergy sexual misconduct. Cappy Larson attended the meeting on behalf of the Orthodox Christian website. Following this historic gathering, Pokrov.org was brought under the umbrella of SNAP, and Cappy Larson and Melanie Jula Sakoda became the directors of SNAP’s Orthodox Christian division.
