Archbishop Alexander C. Bartholomew is a hierarch in the Holy Orthodox Church – America Jurisdiction, Diocese of Florida.

Before joining this group, the archbishop was a Roman Catholic Pallottine priest located in the Diocese of Venice, Florida. At that time he had not adopted the name Alexander, and was known as Fr. Carl D. Bartholomew.

Bartholomew was ordained by the Catholics on December 7, 2000. He has been accused of the sexual abuse of a minor in 1994, while he was a practicing chiropractor. According to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, an investigative panel at the local parish closed its case, saying that the truth could not be determined. The victim and his mother believe that this investigation was inherently flawed.
