Archbishop Stephen Enea is a hierarch of the Italo-Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of the Americas and Canada. His cathedral is located in Utica, New York.
In 2013 Enea was charged with a number of crimes, including second-degree and third-degree grand larceny, first-degree scheme to defraud and five counts of issuing a bad check in 2010 and 2011, for not paying for work done on his cathedral. The archbishop pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny on November 21, 2013. He will be sentenced on March 6, 2014, with the sentence dependent on how much of the money owed to contractors is repaid by that time.
