Archbishop Irenee is a hierarch in the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), Archdiocese of Canada.

Rochon was an auxiliary bishop to Archbishop Seraphim Storheim until the archbishop took a leave a absence to deal with allegations of child sexual abuse. In Storheim’s absence, Rochon became the administrator of Storheim’s archdiocese. He continued in this position after Storheim’s arrest and suspension. Storheim was retired by the OCA’s synod of bishops following his conviction.

On October 21, 2014, the synod elected Rochon to succeed Storheim as the head of the OCA in Canada. He was awarded the rank of archbishop at the 2015 spring meeting of the OCA’s synod of bishops.
