Dr. Michael Kalogerakis

Dr. Michael Kalogerakis is a member of the Sexual Misconduct Advisory Board of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA). The biography issued in conjunction with that position says:

”Dr. Michael Kalogerakis is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in
private practice and is board certified in both general psychiatry and adolescent psychiatry. He currently serves as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine, and as President of the Kenworthy-Swift Foundation, an organization devoted to funding grants for service programs, research and advocacy in child mental health. Dr. Kalogerakis is also the former Director of Adolescent Services at Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, and the former Associate Commissioner for Children and Youth, NYS Office of Mental Health. He is the past-President of both the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry and the International Society for Adolescent Psychiatry, and served as a Board member for 25 years for the Citizen’s Committee for Children of NY, the oldest child advocacy organization in the U.S. Dr. Kalogerakis has also edited several publications and written numerous articles on children and mental health issues. Dr. Kalogerakis and his wife and family are members of the Holy Cathedral and Annunciation Church, both in New York, and Kimisis tis Theotokou in Southhampton.”
