Ellen Tsilimigras Cokinos

Ellen Tsilimigras Cokinos is a member of the Sexual Misconduct Advisory Board of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA). The biography issued in conjunction with that position says:

“Ellen Cokinos, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has worked in the area of child protection and advocacy for over twenty years. As Founder and past Executive Director of The Children’s Assessment Center in Houston for eleven years, she created an entrepreneurial model that established The Center as one of the world’s largest facilities of its kind for investigation, assessment, and treatment of sexual abuse cases involving children. Since 2001, Ms. Cokinos has worked as the Chief Advancement Officer for Trinity Children and Family Services, one of the nations largest providers of education, residential treatment and foster care services. Ms. Cokinos has presented on numerous occasions at conferences globally, including the 2004 American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, and the 2002 Leadership Conference, National Children’s Alliance, Washington D.C. In 2004, she was the recipient of the 2004 Woman in Leadership Award, Certificate of Recognition, by The Child Welfare League of America. Ms. Cokinos holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work in Clinical Treatment from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Ms. Cokinos and her husband Paige are members of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, and their two children attend Annunciation Orthodox School.”
