Sister Maricica Irina Cornici was a nun in the Romanian Orthodox Church. She lived at Holy Trinity Monastery in eastern Romania.

In June 2005, the monastery’s priest, Father Daniel Petru Corogeanu, the monastery’s mother superior, Mother Nicoleta Sofia Arcalianu, and the three other nuns, Sister Simona Bardanas, Sister Adina Lucia Cepreaga and Sister Elena Otel, nailed Cornici to a cross as part of an exorcism ritual. Cornici died as a result.

The priest, the mother superior and the three nuns were all convicted for their roles in Cornici’s death.
