A 22-year-old man had been expelled from a Russian Orthodox seminary before being charged with 11 counts of sexual abuse of a minor. An attorney for the Russian Orthodox Diocese of Alaska says Terenty Dushkin was removed from Saint Herman’s Theological Seminary last December for an unrelated matter. The allegations against Dushkin include exploitation of a minor and child pornography. The charges were filed earlier this month in Unalaska. Police say they seized a tape that shows sex scenes with a 17-year-old girl. The charges also include sex with a 15-year-old. Dushkin, the stepson of Unalaska Representative Carl Moses, had applied for re-entry at the seminary, but the diocese had not decided whether to let him back in, according to a statement by the diocese. The diocese says Duhskin was expelled — quote — “because he failed to follow certain rules imposed on all students.”
