Two New Orthodox Discussion Boards

Date Published: 06/09/2009

Pokrov has recently become aware of two new Orthodox discussion boards that we want to pass along to our readers. The issues raised in both have certainly been covered in other message groups, but new voices on these two forums bring a fresh look at the controversies.

Concerned Orthodox Laity of America (C.O.L.A.) is a facebook group. It is open, which means that anyone can join, and invite others to join. The focus of C.O.L.A. is the discussion of the monasteries founded by Archimandrite Ephraim.

“Katinas is Dead” is a website site which arose following the reported death of the former priest, Fr. Nicholas Katinas, on June 1, 2009. It is comprised of guestbook entries which, while they primarily relate to this particular case of clergy sexual misconduct in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, are universally applicable.

Pokrov says to check it out.
